This is a very unusual vintage carving of a scarab. It is intricately carve with pierced work and underneath there is a place to run a scarf or belt thru. I think this could have been worn as a scarab belt buckle but im not sure as there is no pins or jewelry attachements on it. It is in excellent shape without a flaw.It is about 2 inches long, one inch high and an inch and a half wide. I have never seen one like it seems to be from the 50s or early 60s
